Dmitriy Velin, CPA

Dmitriy’s many years experience as a public accountant, working with both individuals and businesses from high net-worth and celebrity clients to everyday Californians give him the breadth of knowledge for a wide variety of accounting needs. Dmitriy’s specialties include tax compliance and planning for individuals, partnerships, corporations, estates and trusts. His specific areas of tax expertise include professional corporations, real estate, the entertainment industry, construction and development, retirement and estate planning.

His personal approach is to work toward each client’s financial goals through careful, insightful and individual attention to their specific needs with both mutual trust and respect. Dmitriy attributes his many successes to his strong dedication to constantly learn new ways to maximize benefits to his clients. He enjoys helping people achieve their goals and realize their dreams in their personal and business financial endeavors.

Dmitriy graduated with Honors from UC Santa Barbara in 2004 with a BSc. in Business Economics and Slavic Languages. He holds a CPA license in California and continues his education through the California Soceity of Certified Public Accountants. He resides in Los Angeles California and enjoyes spending time with family, travelling, playing tennis, soccer and golf.

Linda Gershfeld, EA., MST

Linda founded this practice in 1983.  She has a masters in taxation degree and has been representing clients in front of IRS for over 25 years.  Linda’s experiance with small and medium size businesses speaks for itself.  She has a wide spectrum of clients and has helped clients over the years to start and grow their businesses.  Some of her clients have been with her for several decades.  Her clients include, medical clinics, pharmacy’s, manufacturing plants, professional corporations and real estate partnerships.  Linda has a wonderful husband with whom she enjoys traveling together throughout the world several times a year.  Linda’s husband was also a tax practitioner but is now enjoying his retirement.

Dennis Kourbatsky, CPA

Dennis Kourbatsky is a co-founder of LA CPA and it’s Principal. He has over ten years of experience in tax and accounting. Dennis graduated with Honors from California State University, Northridge with a Bachelor of Business Administration, Concentration in Finance. Dennis began his career with a CPA firm in Santa Monica, and then he worked as a manager at a mid-size CPA firm in Woodland Hills for the years before he co-founded our firm. Dennis holds a CPA license and an active member of AICPA and CALCPA. Dennis’s specialties include tax compliance and planning for individuals, partnerships, corporations, estates and trusts, financial statements reviews and compilations. His specific areas of expertise include manufacturing, real estate, the entertainment industry and technology.
