Dmitriy Velin, CPA

Dmitriy’s many years experience as a public accountant, working with both individuals and businesses from high net-worth and celebrity clients to everyday Californians give him the breadth of knowledge for a wide variety of accounting needs. Dmitriy’s specialties include tax compliance and planning for individuals, partnerships, corporations, estates and trusts. His specific areas of tax expertise include professional corporations, real estate, the entertainment industry, construction and development, retirement and estate planning.

His personal approach is to work toward each client’s financial goals through careful, insightful and individual attention to their specific needs with both mutual trust and respect. Dmitriy graduated with Honors from UC Santa Barbara in 2004 with a BSc. in Business Economics and Slavic Languages. He holds a CPA license in California and continues his education through the California Soceity of Certified Public Accountants. He resides in Los Angeles California and enjoyes spending time with family, travelling, playing tennis, soccer and golf.

Taffia Barrett Kennedy, EA

Taffy has been a tax preparer for over 30 years and has prepared over 7,000 tax returns. For 20 of those years she has specialized in more complex returns including fiduciaries, international taxation, non-profits as well as corporations, partnerships and limited liability companies. She is an expert in tax research and representing clients before the IRS. In addition to tax justice, she has a passion for protecting the environment. Before she became an income tax preparer she was a real-property appraiser and deputy assessor for the Los Angeles County Assessor. This experience comes in handy for Velin & Associates in for completing property tax forms and all aspects of income taxation involving real estate. When Taffy is not traveling, you will rarely see her without her friendly Pompap (Pomeranian/Papillon mix) Aristotle.

Anna Stefinova, EA

Anna has worked in accounting and tax preparation since 2000. She has extensive experience in real estate accounting and management. Anna’s work with small and medium-sized businesses speaks for itself. While working for Velin & Associates, Inc., Anna has worked with a wide spectrum of clients and has helped them grow their businesses over the years. Some of her clients have been with her since the inception of their businesses. She helps Velin & Associates manage accounting, bookkeeping, and tax preparation for medical clinics, pharmacies, moving companies, professional corporations, and real estate partnerships. Anna also manages other staff members in the office. Anna has a wonderful husband and a beautiful, smart daughter who is her pride and joy. When she is not busy helping Velin & Associates, Inc. clients save money, she enjoys traveling with her husband.

Stacy Novikava

Stacy holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from California State University, Northridge, and brings over 15 years of comprehensive accounting experience spanning both the private and public sectors. Her expertise also includes medical billing, along with a proven track record of designing and implementing efficient systems and workflows that have empowered numerous businesses to scale and succeed.

Since 2004, Stacy has specialized in accounting and tax preparation. Her deep understanding of tax laws and accounting principles ensures that her clients receive personalized guidance that supports their success and growth.
